Post Same thing, I agree that this was probably a long time coming. I mean they basically gave up and for the past year have been doing weekly 2 new cards each "event" like seriously? It's unplayable, but being me I can't give up on things after so long I've continued to do daily log ins and use sht but col I just don't have time for anymore. Either way it's the end of an era and this game does mean a lot to me(might have to write a little essay closer to end days) but ya I'm going down with the ship and everyone in this forum who I've chatted with over the years are awesome and hope we all go out with a bang

Post Like many here, sad to see GC end, but not surprised. I left and returned to the game several times, but it looks like this will be the last.

It would be nice if they somehow allowed us to view the cards we've collected (invested in?) after they shut the servers down, though i think it's probable everything will just go 100% dark...

This forum and everyone here greatly amplified my enjoyment of the game. Thank you all for some good times!

Post Never suppose this end for GC, it's too quick and disappointed.
Anyway we "will finally get forced off of this crack habit".
Hope everyone here get a better life and let's see the end together.

Post Finally SE let Ipgamer be freed from GC confinement lol
The fact that the game has last this long surprised me a lot considering player base has been shrunken to not even 10% of what it used to be. Anyway good luck everyone. I have had a good time staying in this forum, chatting with several awesome members.

FFXV isn't going to fund itself.

That said, it's a bit sad to see this game die out like this. When it first came out, I felt that it was a nice change in comparison to the other TCG games available at the time. While it mostly shared properties with the others, GC stood out in that you could actually trade cards with other players as opposed to the standard "gashapon" method. To be able to get the card you want without having to spend insane amounts of money was a pretty good experience! Still, I ended up spending money from time to time because at least I could help other players directly, if not to get the card I wanted eventually. The events and crossovers that SE did with its properties were also fun.

Alas, with SE's blatant greed with ever decreasing drop rates of 5*s and removal of SHTs from FPs and bonuses, it was clear that the game was once a shell of its own. When the limited/event cards used to be highly sought after, now is treated as the usual 5* thanks to the overabundance of them every new week. On top of that, SE never really solved the hacking issue: I would still see hackers injecting themselves into the top 100s with ease and SE would do nothing about it.

To say that the reason for ending the game was "unable to satisfy all players" is a pretty big slap in the face for everyone who supported this game, including those on the forums here. However, at this point, I am ready to let go of this once great game.

P.S. Guardian Codex is all right, but feels bland. And I don't like the gashapon method.

I moved over to Summoners War with some of the other old-timers here. We're all still playing, and have a guild there if anyone is interested Big Grin

Post Honestly all they had to do was increase 5* spawn by a lot so that people can actually get them with the use of at least 2 or 3 hunting tickets and make even possible to get one with a NHT. This would have made it more fun for new players and give them a chance to compete in the coliseum and possibly win something. Not only that they should have made coli for the 3 and 4 star cards where people can win smaller prizes. All they did was make it too money intensive which is not what people want on an app game.
