Just to clarify, as I don't want my honor impuned. I went through every single catalogue page, looked at every card and tried to evaluate whether or not they were guardians or just bystanders. I used not only the picture but the card text to make my assessment. I spent literally HOURS researching this question. I'm not asking you to overturn your ruling, I respect the decision of the judge, but given the time I invested in this, I do not accept the accusation that I simply copied the opposition. When I added a card to my list it was because I went back, and realized the validity of their claim, and researched it as is evident in my rebuttal. But I did not play a copy game, as you'll see all of my cards are backed with a clear reasoning. Thanks for the giveaway, I am simply defending my honor in my conduct, this is not an accusation of the judge.

My lady Princess Anna obviously comes from Sanbelard Castle Town, where the proud Swallowtail flag presents the the Serpentine Shadow in star white against a red backdrop. The only serpent these noble people could possibly show favor is for the Blood Serpent who "This keeper of the sanguine stone bestows the lust for life, protects those in war, and staunches the flow of blood." The colors of the flag were also chosen to match the duality of the blood serpents intertwined red and white halves.

Winner! Day #11...congrats!!
You had the right idea from the start; it's indeed a swallowtail shape, with a red field, with a large Serpent Shadow charge. However you got the color wrong, the serpent is hot-pink!! To find out, all you had to do was visit the local Monstrologist, as she has a very big flag on display on her roof Tongue.

Don't worry, your work is not for naught (unless you reaaally wanted that specific card..)!

I did the same, so I appreciate your research. I've been looking and thinking about this particular question ever since I first played this game XD It's a mini game I play with myself and thought I could share it and see who else thinks about weird things like this. I even have a list of "supporters" that I could not 100% justify either way, and both had some of those. I let you both keep 1 from that list, and I'm aware that this question is totally biased on my own interpretations of whats "correct", but given the nature of a Giveaway, I didn't see it as a totally bad thing.

Thanks for your participation, without it we probably wouldn't have unearthed half the guardians!

-The "Graeae" card clearly shows all 4 Graeae: Enyo, Deino, Pemphredo, and of course the missing Older sister which was never named (main figure holding onto Pemphredo).

-GPK is made up of all the Chess pieces, all clearly identifiable. Think Power Rangers Megazords.

Day #12
Answer: Let's try ^^

Sir, did you request my guidance to enlighten some dimmed fossils?
I should come to see fossils because some pictures could be deceiveing...anyway, I'll try to write down what my tamer's experience let me see by these pictures

We can clearly see in fossil #1 the remains of an extinct light monster...Unicorn you said? Oh no, nice try...but the horn is misleading...in fact these are the fossil of an ancient Kirin! The main difference could be identified in the little horns on its back, anyway it's a pity that during the excavates its tail's gone! Although it's an exctint guardian, iOS tamers said they could find a descendant last March in Berneside Plains...maybe is it the mythical Ixion? I hope one day SE will give me the opportunity to hunt it!
Kirin's skillset is: Greater Heal, Light+3, Lightning+1
Unfortunately its healing skills couldn't help him survive "The Dark Age"...evil forces exterminate that species.

[A kind and gentle beast of divinity said to appear only during an age of benevolent and gracious rule]

Fossil #2 probably belong to a recently dead Humbaba, we can see most of the fossil is untouched! Since it's the guardian of the sacred forest of Berneside Plains this guardian is thought will never be extinct, since ancient ages tamers saw this giant shadow patrolling Berniside's sacred forest!
To repel intruders from the sacred place it guards, it learn a very interesting skillset useful against more types: Water+3, Poison+1, Fire+2
It is said that his claws are very poisonous and very few tamers managed to hunt him without any scratch and getting sick afterwards. If you see one, don't try to get close...run!

[This spirit warden holds vigil over the sacred forest with a booming roar and breath of fire and poison]

I think you already noticed, yes #3 fossil is a nearly untouched Metal Predator!
The human developed wolf-shaped war machine is quite common to find nowadays...it's well known for its high reliability due to great speed, great defence and above all its infallible AI!
His claws compared even to Humbaba's ones are sharper and although they're not poisonous their dangerousness is in their endurance, even adamantio can't resist them!
His skillset is: Def+10%, Agi+10%, Phys+2
This mecha guardian once tamed could be your flagship help!
Only his evolution could be as dreaded...the ancient war machine, Dragoon! Unfortunately, this "upgrade" happened to be unstable and went out of production!

[Forged in ancient times, the metal fangs and claws of this war machine are far sharper than any beast's]

Hey, are you alright? How could you managed to take picture #4! It's obviously a Gandring fossil, yes Gandring the dauntless beast, probably it was a feminine sample so where you took should live for certain its offspring! Watch out!
Gandring is a fierce beast that hunts in the shadow, it rules the nighttime and no one hazard to enter his territory. You've been very lucky in taking this picture and it was also well taken! Look at his claws, you said wings? Ah ah ah, of course not! They're its claws, can't you notice the difference? Oh sorry, I wouldn't be arrogant...at first they could seem wings, but I assure that those are the remains of his sharpen claws!
His skillset? Well, I'm not sure about it...it depended what type was, I can suppose:
QS, Phys+4, Agi+20%
He's the descendant of Monster Hunter's Nargacuga...they're red eyes are the most terrifying in the shadows for a tamer!

[Forged in an ancient smith's malice, this cursed blade taken draconic form has slain three generations of kings]

I couldn't sleep tonight to think about the guardian in #5 picture but I finally understood...you tried to trick me, am I right? You wanted to prove my knowledge and you intentionally put this fossil in Snowfield Hunting Ground to made me think it could be an Afanc or maybe a Frost Worm. Nice try, but I could have never made this mistake...you found it in Berneside Plains, didn't you?
It's the fossil of the rariest of all Carbuncle, the Emerald Carbuncle! Look at its shape, you can't have any doubt about it! Its shape, its dimension, it's for sure an Emerald one...I'm so thrilled that I could make more researches on it, it's not so common to see one, it is said that Emerald Carbuncles appear once in 150 years! It descends from the Carbuncle family but for some reason they have tricky powers, if you had the luck to tame him and get his jewel, you'll be awarded with richness and glory!
His skillset is quite "bright eh eh eh: Phys+1, Light+1, Light+2
Don't try to trick me anymore Dodgy

[Those who prize the jewel from this small creature's brow are said to gain great riches and glory]

Oh oh oh, unbelievable! You found yourself #6 fossil? It belongs to one of the Primals, Primal Bahamut!
He descend from Dalamud and on Eorzea its power was without parallel, nowadays can be seen his directly descendant, Bahamut but we can't compare their power...Bahamut compared to Primal Bahamut resemble nobody! Look at its size, my legs shake only looking at its picture...thank you, I'm really happy to have seen Primal Bahamut's fossil!
Eorzea and Berneside Plains was its natural habitat and his Megaflare was its best technique, it brought everything to ashes
His tremendous skillset was: Darkness+4, Wis+20%, Agi/Wis+10%
[Descended from Dalamud, this ancient primal birthed the Seventh Umbral Era, laying Eorzea to ash with its Megaflare]

#7 fossil is without any doubt the remains of a Sea Wyvern. It can still be found in Cerulean Deep and is only the minor menace you can encounter here, stay away from this field if your tamer's knowledge have leaks.
Its shark shapes reveal its nature, underwater its ferocity is well known and this guardian usually lives in shoal (forgive if it's not right but English isn't my mother language Big Grin ) so its dangerousness is really high...what could slip to one Sea Wyvern, couldn't slip to another one! Be careful during your dives!
Sea Wyvern skillset is quite clear nowadays: Water+1, Phys+1, Phys+2
[Gliding through water rather than sky, this drake of the seas is one of many menaces found beneath the waves]

Here we are, fossil #8! This canine shaped fossil I think should be a mighty Marchosias. Marchosias' race was corrupted by evil forces in ancient times and nowadays Deadmoon Desert is its nest. His strenght cannot be imagined and since hunting a Marchosias isn't a piece of cake, unfortunately we have so little infos about them! How come next week we'll go hunting those scary beasts? Maybe we'll get rewards by other tamers if we'll be successful!
Marchosias' skillset is something you couldn't ask any better: QS, Phys+4, Atk/Agi+10%...did you say Sphinx Empress is better than this one? Oh yeah, you're right, her QS/Wis+20%/Ele+4 is way better than this but this mecha guardian mustn't be underrated!
[Ere an angel of the order of dominions, this marquis of hell now commands the strength of thirty demon legions]

The last picture, a Deadmoon Desert's fossil! Judging from its wings and size is one of FFXIII Eidolons, Bahamut! Like the past Bahamut, he belongs to Bahamut's race and even if nowadays is extinct everyone has seen at least some pictures of it, it's a very revered guardian!
Beyond hunter's expectation is its vigour and when once he ruled above Deadmoon Desert, many hunters died trying to tame him...poor crazy, how could you have ever tried to imagine someone could tame this Eidolons?
Bahamut FFXIII skillset is explosive: Atk+20%, Phys+4, SD!
[This Eidolon lord of dragons strikes terror in hearts as his talons tear limb from limb]

It was relaxing to examine those pictures, send me others if you have the opportunity...I hope my knowledge has been helpful!

(Sorry if verbs, adjectives or other seems weird but English is not my mother language...I tried my best!)
I'm sorry but I don't know why it doesn't allow me to load image for all 9 descriptions I made Undecided
I don't want to edit because post would be invalid, but even the first 5 images it said loaded succesfully didn't show up...too bad
It was nice see also the image at the end of every description...especially for the Carbuncle...it's identical the shape even if it's from another hunting ground xD
Maybe it was a Kb problem? The first 5 images have a total "size" of 950 Kb

Winner! Day #12...congrats!!
XD Nice!! And for me at least, not having the pictures there didn't detract at all since I can easily picture them all as I read.
Not sure I agree with all your findings (why does Metal Predator have a fossil!? LOL!), but Great job!!
NoWun as well, it was quite hilarious and I full enjoyed the botany lesson Big Grin

I may be ending this a bit earlier than I did the other ones, but that's cause there's no more days to add! I hope everyone had a wonderful winter break and a Happy New Year!!

@_@ Now I need a break from Giveaways for a while...LOL

Day 12
this is the full thing and I made litle edits

Alright the first fossil was a ancestor of minotaur that lived in the glaverow volcanoes its shadow type is the wolf it ate plants that grow on the fringe of the volcanoes and of course the volcano plants themselves. Please tell me you've heard of them. You didn't? Oh well I'll explain. The volcano plants( Volcanus planteus) were and are a very successful plant that grew very well in the volcanoes hot heat. They used their roots to take in some of the lava and use it to grow. I heard that those plants are very stony. Well anyways this ancestor of minotaur was very primitive and had one horn instead of two. These Guardians just evolved from the sea so they still have things that resemble fins. The frill and fin-like spikes on their back was used to defend themselves from predators like the fourth fossil you found there. Their skill set was def+10%, def +20%, and def +40%. As you can see this Guardian was very defensive. It did not have high agi as its limbs were still part fins so it couldn't run and it just couldn't attack well(limbs remember?) so it had to have alot of defense to survive. As time passed faster versions of this Guardian appeared so it slowly died out. This Guardian died because it got stuck in the mud.

____________________________________________________________________________

Fossil number 2 was a highly successful Guardian that lived across many places in northern cross as different variants(see fossil 4, fossil 5, fossil 6, and fossil 9). This variant(Draconus flavus) ate meat and lived in the plains just north of the jungle. The shawdow of this Guardian is a bird. Its descendents are shown below as fossil 6 and its living relatives are known as Nova Nix and Rehus(the impossible to catch guardian). I believe there are other living relatives but I just forgot. This Guardians skillset was agi/atk +10%, agi + 20%, atk +20%. It hunted by running up fast and slicing some meat and running away before it got hurt. That's why its skill set is the way it is(faster it runs the less likely it is to get hit and the more meat it can raze the better, right?) It died as faster Guardians came out.(Rehus is a good example he has 9865787956 agi the last time we spotted him(about seven centuries ago))

____________________________________________________________________________

The third fossil is obviously an extinct version of yeti. It lived in The Snow mountains. You say yeti has no resemblance to this fossil? Well only recently humans have seen guardians live. All the records of the guardians of olden time was kept by the royal scholars of southern cross(like me). The records show that this beast had a skill set very like yeti( the skill set was water +3 phys+3 water +2) and has a bone structure very like yeti and hunts like yeti and runs like yeti. It even ate exactly the same foods as yeti(snow plants and meat). You don't know about snow plants? I'm not explaining about plants again. Go read "Plants for idiots" it will tell you all you need to know about plants. Anyways in this old time(65 mya)(mya stands for million years ago) yetis have not evolved upright positions yet so they walked on four legs. They hunted by sliding on ice(they created ice by shooting water and the very cold temperatures froze it) and taking the prey on by surprise. This guy died(yes it is a guy(you can tell by its pelvis)) because of global warming(every 50 years we have 4 suns for a week(don't ask why even I don't know))so its ice didn't form so it couldn't take its prey by surprise so its prey killed him and ran. Its shadow is a wolf.

__________________________________________________________________________________

The fourth fossil (Draconus Anioris)is a relative of the second. It was a very successful predator and was a close relative to bahamut(Draconus Bahumis). Its skill set was phys +3, fire +4, and atk/wis +10%. It ate cooked meat. It hunted by swooping down from the sky and burning and scratching the prey. It lived in the Snow mountains but flew out of its range and got stuck in the mud in the volcanoes. Its shawdow is a bird.

__________________________________________________________________________________

The 5th fossil is obviously a carbuncle. Anyone can tell that is a carbuncle. What most people can't tell is that is a extinct speices of carbuncle. No it's not an emrald carbuncle. It goes by four names. Diamond carbuncle in the north(where you live in), Bahamut carbuncle in the east, Dragon carbuncle in the south(where I live in), and primal carbuncle in the west. This is one of the most poorly desiend guardian there is, not because of the skill set(the skill set is fire+1, agi +5%, flight (flight allows it to fly)) but beacuse it is extremly weak to fire. As you can see by the skillset fire is is only attack move. Its species got created when Cupido decided she wanted to shoot primal bahamuts and carbuncles(Cupido has problems). The species got created when the guardians loved each other so much they mated and had babies. They were 23 babies from a total of 19 mothers. Sadly as carbuncles are extremly weak to fire the 14 babies having a bahamut mother quickly died to the bahamut's intence heat. The rest died when they looked at rock and they shot fire at it and the fire bounced back and killed them. There have only been 7 fossils found(not including yours) so if you find another please notify us and bring us the fossils. Its shadow is unknown, as its diet, appearence, and where it lived. The fossils were found from any where in the jungle, plains, desert, ocean, volcanoes, and snow mountains.

__________________________________________________________________________________

The sixth fossil is a lindwurm(draconus lindus) not to be confused with lindworm(draconus linduss a 3*). Its shadow is a bird, its skillset is QS death +4 or phys +4(depending on *****) and LS, and it eats meat. But I was wondering for about a hour why is it in the plains? Lindwurm lives in the west volcanoes. At first I thought that you tricked me but then I thought the super triple elete BoomerBaby(still haven't seen your deck) would not try to trick me. That stumped me for another hour. What is a lindwurm doing in the plains????? I finaly came up with an answer. It was I have no idea. Perhaps you could tell me?

__________________________________________________________________________________

Congrats! you found the only fossil of Grand prawn kaiser(fossil 7)! Grand prawn kaiser shadow is a shark, it doesn't eat, has no relatives(It's made out of thousands of prawns), It lives in the ocean, and its death is unknown. Its skill set is Grand(makes it grander), Prawn(allows more prawns to attach to it), and Kaiser(Its use is ovious is it not?). The legend says on the order of its grandmaster, these once-weak prawns have merged to form the most powerful fighting unit. Its purpise was to KILL ALL THOSE THAT PREY ON WEAK PRAWNS.

__________________________________________________________________________________

Who made this fake???? Fossil 8 is not a fossil!!!!

__________________________________________________________________________________

Fossil 9 is a Rehus(Draconus Rehis). Remember the Guardian with 9865787956 agi? Well that's him. By the records dating 294AFCG(249 years after first captured guardian(723 years ago)) he is omnivorous, his shodow type is bird, his skill set is QS, Shadow Revive, agi+1000%, and you know his relatives. Hunts by swooping down and taking a guardian. If you saw a guardian suddenly dissappear then blame him(Or the guardian can teleport). We don't have extensive records on him so thats all I can say about him.
