Hello!

Here is a list of possible auction templates that you can use to help you develop your own point system. It's highly recommended that you just use these as a reference and tweak them to suit your own preferences. It's also generally a good idea to make your points system as inclusive as you can so that more people are able to bid in your auction.

If I didn't mention your points system here but you'd like it to be included in the templates, let me know! I will post it below.

Using any of these templates is entirely optional. You are allowed, and even encouraged, to develop your own points system as long as it complies with the auction guidelines.

Anyways, without further ado, here are some auctions templates in no particular order:

silas' auction template

Inspired by PandaX, updated and refined by silas.

Liirian's auction template

A popular template developped by Liirian, who himself used many other sources.

cedricko's auction template

Another popular template made by cedricko, who would be grateful if you use his template with a reference.

futurejay's and Remini's accepted skillset for auctions template

In the light of skillset disputes, this was created to give a guidance for auctioneers and bidders. You may use it in your own discretion.

Th3avatar/Valenash's Tier System

Currently a very popular points system developed by two very experienced traders. It's also relatively current and should be consistently updated. As with all templates, I recommend reviewing the different tiers to make sure that you agree with the points allocations for the guardians in each one, since there's a fairly large difference in value between tiers.

Airutra's Points System

It's very beautiful. One distinguishing feature is that it gives a specific points value to each card instead of having "tiers." The version here is up-to-date as of April 1 to include the FFV guardians.

Hearts™'s Non-5 Points System

Here is my very short and sweet points system for low-value auctions that don't accept 5* cards. It's a good idea to impose limits on the different points categories if you are using this system to auction off mid-value items (like good-type 5* cards), so feel free to tweak the limits as you see fit.

Points System
Silver Slime: 1 point (maximum of 50 for 50 pts)
Gold Slime: 5 points (maximum of 25 for 125 pts)
MP (iii) stone: 12 points
HP (iii) stone: 14 points
Non-HP/MP (iii) stone: 15 points
Elemental +4 stones: 45 points (maximum of 5 for 225 pts)
Physical +4 stones: 60 points (maximum of 5 for 300 pts)
Lvl 55 feeders: 60 points
Lvl 60 feeders: 65 points

Grandpa Vexation's Classic Points System

I think this is the points system that Shakespeare used to use when he played GC. Instead of tiers, it values cards according to their generations, which makes it very inclusive by definition. It also places a much higher value on Ace cards than some of the newer points systems, which is interesting to consider in that many of the newer auctions tend not to have Aces included in bids.

Guides on holding an Auction
Short guide by lililolo

Hi Guys, having been in the forums quite some time, I think it is a good time to write a short guide on holding an auction. I have really enjoyed this forum thoroughly being able to meet up with so many wonderful players from around the world. What made me want to write this article is that recently, I have seen many new players holding their first auction.

Less Means More & More Means Less.
This phrase sounds amusing but it’s true, the lower the minimum bid, the more attention it will generate. Having a high/ridiculous minimum bid will only scare away prospects.

Selling as a Package
Packaging in real life is important; it is also the same as well in GC. For example, a behemoth with physical +4 is valued higher because it is deemed to have the “Perfect Skill Set” And often, rich people do not mind spending a little more to save them the hassle of stoning them later.

Adding pictures and screen shots of the cards will also be more appealing to potential customers as they are able to see the skill set, stat points of the specific card. In short, what you see is what you get. This also avoids unnecessary questions such as is the guardians stoned, what skill set is it & what level?

Closing Time of an Auction.
Auction time should be stated clearly using this as a guide.
8:00PM 23 August 2013 (+8:00 GMT) Holland time
As GC is an international game, we expect players from all over the world and different time zone to be able to accurately tell the closing time. Another good reference that can be used is also based on the closing of the Coliseum which gives players a better understanding.

Duration of an Auction
Personally the duration of the auction I believe should not be more than 3 days. Having an auction will make people disinterested in your auction as the closing is still far away. You will also face the problem of having to keep bumping in order to highlight your thread.

Points System
The points system used by individuals may vary. If a wider mode of payment is used, it will be more flexible and people tend to participate more. Having an auction that takes only reborned aces will effectively filter out the newbies and middle players.
Points system can be customized to suit what you want to get out of the trade. ie; giving more points for the desired guardian. The point system can be mainly categorized into 3 main components which is Feeders, Stones and 5 Star Guardians.

Current Bids
Current bids should be bold and highlighted in a different colour so that potential bidders can find it easily. (It would be best if it can be updated on the front page regularly)

It is also suggested that 2 highest bids to be listed as well in case the highest bidder backs out. This too is safer as post can be modified by user.

Don’t forget the 3 Golden Rules:
Don’t be Greedy
Be Transparent and Accountable
Have Fun !!

Happy Reading and Enjoy yourself in the Auction House !!
